Marc Manack, AIA, NCARB, is an American architect and educator: Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Director in the Ravin School of Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and founding principal of SILO AR+D, the architecture, research and design practice he founded in 2012 with Frank Jacobus, operating from Charlotte (NC), Fayetteville (AR) and Cleveland (OH). He holds the B.Arch and M.Arch from the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State University. SILO AR+D's residential and institutional work across the United States includes the firm's own North Presbyterian Church renovation in Cleveland, which his chapter in Marinic's The Interior Architecture Reader presents as a digital-fabrication exemplar. He is the Reader's second practitioner-theorist after Michael Webb.
